Erv Loc: Medina Ohio

I finished up 2 carvings last week and Janny got one painted for me. And the other one she put a finish on. The Leaf and Hedge Hog are carved out of Maple. I wonder where I got that idea? :) The Walrus is carved from a piece of coal.:) A friend gave me a few pieces of it because it was very hard and he knew I like to collect rocks. And he was not kidding when he said it was hard!!!
The nose is a little screwed up. As I got to that area there was a flaw in the coal.:( But he turned out pretty good. The tasks are a piece of window seal ( plastic ) that is suppose to look like marble.

I can't believe the talent that you demonstrate. You take excellent photos, an excellent carpenter, a wood carver extraordinaire and the list goes on and on and on. So what can't you do? I know, go try to talk Obummer into doing his job, that my friend is a real challenge.

Beautiful hedgehog and walrus. Do you do all this by hand or do you have a machine.

Erv, the hedge hog had to be the hardest as it is so detailed, love it. Guess we'll wait for the elephant.

Janny does a nice job on them for me. She makes them look really good. Fun to watch her paint them. I didn't know what she was going to do to the Walrus. But it was awesome with just the sealer on it.
