happened to me for about three years - i just kept working - not expecting much and eventually the fog left. Be patient and kind to yourself

I get those blocks all the time. Whenever that happens, I pick one thing to make the subject of future shots, (I have taken pictures of pink things (or any color that comes to mind), pictures of round things, small animals, or I try to capture pictures that I imagine would make good artwork). Even pictures of clouds are fascinating sometimes.
I hope this gives you a few ideas.

Use the Search button and look for "Out of Ideas?" it was posted here several months ago and is enough inspiration for a day or two.... I have it bookmarked.....
happens to almost every photographer at one time or another I understand..surely has happened to me more than once..just hang in there and somethin' will click..good luck
Decide NOT to take any pictures for a week, with an option on another week. See if you can last the whole week... It's feeling that you 'ought' to do something that's the problem. Besides, two days is nothing. I quite often go a week or two without taking any pictures.
You don't HAVE to take any pictures at all, so why worry? Read a book. Listen to some music. I quite like target shooting with an air pistol in my back yard.
But if you're determined, try one or more of the following:
Use a lens you don't use much (an extreme wide angle, a macro, a tele -- whatever you've got).
Shoot a collection of pics to tell someone what your home town/village is like.
Try some still lifes:

that's a really great suggestion.
Take a walk around your city and only photograph the letter R...wherever you find it....(that's just an example)
Or (taking a suggestion from Bryan Peterson) photograph the whole alphabet and then make a card for someone using the letters to spell their name (or love or friendship or something)
Do you always carry your camera with you wherever you go? Do you love life and everything it represents? Do you find fascination in every little insect, flower, drop of dew? Are you awed by the grandure of the creation? Do you marvel at the accomplishments of you fellow man? Don't stress about yourself and what you want to photograph. Think about all the things around you. Even those things that everyone else has photographed. Can you get above the subject, below the subject, 'eye-to-eye' with it. Even a leaf or blade of grass can look different if you get over it, under it, or 'eye-to-eye' with it. By applying these principles, I have to say, I never get 'photographers block'.

Come to the Black Hills of South Dakota. There is enough to shoot there to break any block. Any time of the year.

You did notice that DK is "in hiding." He's probably in NY City or LA, CA and is just trying to disperse the population. Watch out. :-)
When I get a block I'll make a challenge for myself. Last week it was shadows, this week will be to only use my 50mm, next week trees, etc....
I have a slightly different problem but in that same "blocked" vein. I only want to shoot wildlife and have shot so much that I have reached a point where I don't think I can improve on what I've already done but with creeping, strike that, galloping age and health issues that are limiting the facilitation of my urges, I don't want to change focus or subject matter. I feel as though I'm at a dead end so I'm going to force myself to re-focus on the world of macro which interests me more than things like rusty old bridges that just sit there and stare back at me. I've rationalized that if I can't chase the big 'uns, I'll just chase me some little 'uns. Perish the thought of having to jump out of the way of a stampeding rolly-polly.
