Anyone interested in Sirui products should read thoroughly the customer reviews on Amazon and B&H, especially the negative ones. They indicate that these tripods are cheaply made having some thin plastic parts that do not last. I did a very extensive search for a travel tripod prior to my trip to the Utah canyons in August and ultimately decided on an Induro CT114 (carbon fiber). It's much more expensive and heavier than those called "travel" tripods but it's really sturdy with great features and a much higher weight capacity rating which I need.
