Q: What do all these violent cities have in common?
A: They are all run by liberal Democrats!!!!!

Surprise! Surprise! Why do you suppose it is that cities run by lib Dems are the most dangerous ones in which to live?

It's a spurious correlation. Most large cities are dominated by minorities who commit a disproportionate amount of crime. Since the democrats are paternalistic, and want to redistribute the income of the middle class, the dregs in the inner cities keep voting for the democrats. They know which side their bread is buttered.

There is a sports and sometimes political columnist and radio host in Minneapolis named Joe Soucheray. His theory is that the problem is tall buildings. The closer you get to where there are tall buildings, the crazier the thinking.

The US spends more $$ on education then most other countries and what do we have to show for it? Why is it the left wants to "mainstream" everybody, so there's huge amounts of $$ available for the downtrodden and oppressed, e.g., subsidized breakfast, ESL teachers, yada, yada, but the exceptionally bright kids have little or no resources available? Honors classes are being cut so another English as a Second Language teacher can be hired. We are shooting ourselves in the foot all in the name of mediocrity.
