I am using Photoshop Elements 10. I usually change about every 2 years. I see that Elements 12 was released last week. Has anybody downloaded a trial version, or bought the 12 yet? Is so what do you think about it?

You should try the 30day trial yourself.

I purchased Elements 12 and have found it to be very worthwhile. One of the neatest new things is the pet eye correction.

I purchased both PSE and PrE 12 last week.
I haven't had much time yet to play with them, hope to make an afternoon free for just that, this week.
However, from what I did try out so far, I think I'll be very comfortable with this new version very soon.
One thing I especially like is the content-aware move tool: I have a couple of photos with trees growing out of people's heads....

I was looking forward to the update and had planned to spend the money. There were major changes between 9, 10 and 11. I was expecting something valuable or useful. But, I'm not seeing anything in 12 to motivate me to invest the time or money to update.

I like Elements well enough that I would recommend it to anyone that didn't already have a favorite photo or video editor and wanted to do more (like layer adjustments) than provided in Lightroom.

If you already have and know how to use PE 10 or 11 and don't have Lightroom, spend your money on that instead.

So far I really like Elements 12. I also have LR 5. I go back & forth using both.

Thanks for posting this link. There's enough interesting new stuff here that I will buy PSE12 as soon as Costco offers it on special. It's usually about $50 there sometime in late fall. I'm watching for it!

Agreed. I like the combination of Lightroom, for most of my file management and post processing needs, and Elements, for special PP like removing trees from growing from people's heads.

How much should you pay to upgrade from 11?
