This is my first post to the forum...although I've been a long-time reader. Going with my husband on a quick trip to Appleton, WI for a few days...looking for suggestions of places to take photos while he's in his business meetings. I'm interested in nature and wildlife, not buildings and city stuff. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated! I'd rather be photographing than sitting in a hotel room!

Appleton is on the shores of Lake Winnebago. A drive along there should be pretty picturesque. Also you might try the local chamber of commerce there, I'm sure they would have a good idea of places to photograph.

Hope this helps,

Tim

I live in Appleton --- we have High Cliff State park near by nice hiking trails and over looks the the lake -- in Kaukauna along the Fox river called 1000 Islands nature center -- google 1000 islands for directions -- you should see at least 25-30 eagles nesting -- Also Pullmans restaurant along the Fox in Appleton --known as the flats great food and you can sit outside if the weather permits and take pics -- leaves are turning now.

Yeah for Indiana- a great place to grow up. Love Bloomington too even though I'm a Boilermaker! Purdue '77. Old Gold and Black vs Red and White-Old Oaken Bucket! Love ya tho!
