We all share a common interest...

the love of photography. Obviously, we do not all agree on politics. On this site, I see some great photographers that slam my political beliefs. I do not respond because this is not the place for that. Do we really need to mess this wonderful PHOTOGRAPHY page with ugly, crass, and venomous political slants and rants? There are plenty of other forums where you can air your political concerns. Often, I leave this site feeling like America is full of hateful, angry people. So what if you don't like Obama! Tell some one else who is looking to hear that. I come here ' cause I like Photography. Let's leave this for talk of lenses, apertures and photo sharing - oh, and jokes. I love the jokes. Please take your political angst somewhere else. On to photography!!!

I agree, however, I just bypass anything I read that may be politically related, however for some people this may be the only site they are part of to air their views.

So let them have their fun.

I have felt the same way but as always you have ignorant people everywhere. So lets all just stick to photography and let the politics stay in Washington where it belongs and the people here can all get along, have a good time and enjoy this site for what it was meant to be. Photography....Rich

Right on, brother. And who in their right mind would want to violate the 1st amendment?

That's my point. I don't come here for that. If I wanted slanted political ideas, I'd turn on FOX NEWS or MSNBC, not UGLY HEDGEHOG. Of course it says "CHIT CHAT" I understand that, and yes, our amendment rights are important. I wasn't asking anyone to change that. I just don't understand the blatant criticism of some peoples beliefs on this site. Sorry. Just excercising my rights too. Just like you. Kinda fun , but there is a place for everything.

I everyone agreed on the same things we wouldn't have Obama, now would we. It would be rather boring don't you think? What if everyone took the very same picture with the very same camera at the every same time. Man, put some spice in your life... be different.

I absolutely loath the invective political posts on here and the mysoginistic "jokes", however, it does say at the top of the page:

General Chit-Chat (non-photography talk)

There are threads that are specifically for photography.

I agree that at his is the place to air our opinions and they are just opinions, but it would be nice if we're a little more respectful to each other.
