Does anyone have pictures you've taken of an lunar eclipse? There is going to be a lunar eclipse this Saturday, so if you are bored and looking for a project, why not try to capture some shots for yourself. I don't know the exact time the eclipse will begin (it depends on where you are), but you can get more info on yahoo news. Please post any shots you already have, and any you take.

And the EXIF data for your shot.
What fooled me was how bright the moon is at high magnification.

It is always "daylight" on the portions of the moon visible to us.

Here's my latest Photoshop Elements production. I am just learning how to use it.

lleach, I am so impressed with your lunar eclipse set of moons. I found a film set I took in 1994. I copied from a positive so very bad quality.

Some of your moons have better detail. In 2014 I will use my telescope. These were all with a 55-300mm zoom lens.

Below is my final. I decided trying to get the ridge look decent wasn't working out. Maybe I'll insert a daylight of the ridge later.
