Ok I think I am either getting old or am an idiot, but how can I trasfer my adjusted images into my"my pictures folder".
Sorry guys and girls but it's been a long week and I just can't think anymore.
Thank you for your kind help in advance.

Hey nafplyr, there are two things to note here.
- Picasa, by default, does not apply permanent changes to your images until you Save or Save As... and,
- To transfer them then, Select the images you want to transfer and do a Save As... then Select where you want to Save them, preferably in a separate folder named for the event.

This may help too http://support.google.com/picasa/answer/11021?hl=en

I used to use Picasa & what I would do is select the images I wanted to move (say to post on here), I then would select "export" apply any resizing I wanted, name the folder I wanted to put them in & export them to a folder on my desktop. When I wanted to put them on a website, I just looked for that folder on the desktop, looked for the subfolder the images were in & selected them...I'm using Lightroom anymore & so my workflow is different.

I was using "save as" 'til I read a thread on here, and now use export. Picasa creates a folder on my desktop and puts the edited (saved) image there. Then I distribute those photos to various folders I have in My Pictures.

And a neat note: you can make other versions and/or re-size and when you export, the image will not over-ride the one already in the folder, it just adds a -001 -002 etc to the file name.

Export really is easier. I am glad it was mentioned!

Oh something I forgot to mention: make sure to check the pop-up window that opens when you click export: there are settings for image size and quality there! The good news is the settings remain as is until you change, so don't have to do each time.
