A few days ago I visited Cambridge and found him sitting on a bench near to where he normally busks. I sat down, chatted to him, and asked if he would be playing later. He told me that he probably would be playing in about half an hours time, he also said that he wasn't feeling too great, he was very tired. I left him saying I would be back to get some more pictures. When I returned he was nowhere to be found, I checked all of his usual haunts to no avail. I hope he is okay.

He appears to be a work of art himself. Nice captures and the black and white are fitting.

Great photographs, Graham. I love street portraits like yours. Sad that the guy is unwell, let's hope he makes it into a shelter.

What a wonderful character. I wonder what his story is. All these guys have a tale to tell.

Thank you so much for three wonderful images of a man who society will forget, but you have preserved for us to enjoy. I bet the local paper would love to publish those pics!

I do hope you see him again.

Your compassion is evident in your words and your pictures. Number one is a beautiful portrait.

Seemingly old and probably not well off enough to provide the comforts a man should have at this stage...he chooses to dance to another drummer (he provides his own beat with his spoons) and has retained that sparkle in his eye.

Having never had the pleasure of meeting the gentleman, I can only wish him well as you obviously do.

Thanks for sharing!

Bob

These are absolutely amazing images - what a story they tell! It would be wonderful to know what his background is.

You really get some terrific shots of life in the city that many of us choose to ignore for whatever reason. Thank you for sharing your talent.
