Lightroom 5.2 download issue

Anyone else experiencing this problem? I received notice of and link to the Lightroom 5.2 update download. When I download the file, which is supposed to be Windows 8 compatible I'm unable to open it. It is identified as a "Part" file which, supposedly I need some app from the app store to access. Another "gift" from Adobe?

I installed it this week without a problem. This is with Win7. The 5.2 update is one hell of a file. --838,617KB.
Maybe try the download again and cross your fingers. :)

It sounds like the whole file did not downloaded, and that's why you can't open it. Try downloading again.

You are right I had to download twice to get the complete file After I installed the program I copied the folder to a Jump Drive so I could install LR 5.2 on my Laptop and my son could upgrade his copy of LR5

Thanks for your replies. And you are all apparently correct.
On my third try I gave up and went to working on other things. Twenty minutes later I got a notice that the file had downloaded. Never experienced that before, but apparently the file size is ginormous. Perhaps they should mention that.

I downloaded it yesterday with Windows 8 - no problem. I was asked to enter my LR5 registration number before it would operate, but I think this is normal.

Yes, you apparently didn't wait long enough for the whole file to download. You may have either a slower machine or a slower connection than I do, because my download took somewhere around 5 minutes or less. How long did your's actually take?
