Thanks Mare! I thought it was a robin I was chasing and trying to shoot, but through all the BLUR his breast didn't look that red. I'm having a terrible time not moving the camera or my hand when I'm shooting! Even if I secure the camera (I used an upside down coffee cup!), when I push the button to take the picture, if moves! :((

Thank you 14kphotog! Hmmm...we have a woodpecker and a flicker. They aren't the same, are they?

HI Sue, the reflection is really nice, and yes the birds look like a robin and definitely a flicker. Did you see my reflection pics of Christopher Dock H.S. a few days ago? Leaves are going to be changing shortly; am hoping for some nice pics from upstate. Hope others will show theirs too.

Sailorsmom, I feel your pain. I use the SX50 and it seems extra sensitive to movement, and so am I. It has image stabilization, but still difficult. Someone on here (I believe it was Jimande) suggested a monopod and I got one at Walmart for $29.99 and have found it a great help. lots of times I don't even extend it, just leave it in the shortest length. It's no where near the weight of the tripod and easy to carry attached to the camera. Good luck!
