Monarch on Milkweed

This is a pic of a monarch butterfly that I took care of from the egg stage. He (a male) had just emerged from his chrysalis a few hours before I took this photo. I applied a subtle texture to mask out the screen in the background. He was beautiful!

The colours and pattern combinations are truly outstanding. Nice shooting Jan.
