I just downloaded and installed Lightroom 5.2. If you haven't gotten the email yet, you soon will. It needs a system re-start, and that will have to wait.

I bought a copy and then found out I have to upgrade my Mac OS to a later version; consequently a huge backup and file migration is needed before hand. I hadn't counted on that!

That's what's nice about computers. There's always an update that requires another update.

Were you on LR4? if so that's the reason for the system re-start. I was already using the first version of LR5 so the upgrade to 5.2 didn't need a restart. If you liked LR4 you will love LR5, I know I do.

yes..and also don't forget about the "visualize spots" checkbox so you can see the dust spots better.

Right. Where do I find that? I haven't used it in a while?
EDIT: I found it - no spots. I'm using Chrome, and that can't play Youtube, so using LR help is a challenge.
Just a quick note If you have an older Lightroom or your Photoshop version is no older than CS3. You can get the latest Photoshop CC and Lightroom for $10.00 a month. That is an awesome deal. This is not an introductory deal either it is permanent

Chrome can't play Youtube? I watch Youtube and I use Chrome exclusively, perhaps I should tell it that it can't do it ;-)

How come? I use Chrome and watch you tube all the time.
My Chrome plays YouTube. I downloaded 5.2 on my Mac and PC...the Mac did fine and all presets and plugins stayed intact. The PC however did not and all presets and plugins were erased. I called Adobe and they had no explanation - said "you will have to reload them" ....I am very upset with this business.

I was using LR 5 on Windows 8 and upgraded to LR5.2 last night. I was forced to reboot. Then I upgraded the Camera Raw in Photoshop CS 6 and I was forced to close both LR and PS and reboot again.
Luckily it seems as all my presets and plug-ins that I have tested still work

I have used Chrome since it first came out, watch YouTube all the time & grab audio ect. from them. Have windows 7 and installed LR5.2 with only having to re-boot, which seems fairly normal for most new installs........ Curt H. - Australia
Chrome, YouTube, One of the major reason I use chrome is so I can watch you tube videos, I had serious problems with You tube and Fire fox.

Jerry;
Do you have flash player disabled for some reason?
YOu may also have to disable ScriptSafe if you have that extension.
