That's a male goldfinch. They have beautiful colors in the summer, but will soon loose the bright yellow for the winter months. Right now they are reaping the sunflower harvest that they sowed from the bird feeder in the winter. Thank you for your kind comment.

Thank you for the thumbs up. I have added a shot of a hummingbird. They are usually gone by now but I am still seeing them this AM. Frost advisory tonight. I think this will send them south.

I must say, hiltopines, I love your last shot! I was just thinking about shooting them the other day. When I was a kid my dad called them "ticky-wicks" and he's tickle me under my chin with them. Fond memories!
