Indian Blanket/Texas Fire Wheel with "extra petal"

I shot this photo 25+ years ago on a Canon A1 with a 35-70 F2.8 Macro lens on Kodachrome II. I have since scanned it into the computer on an Epson V500 with post processing in Adobe Camera Raw and Photoshop Element. What I really want beside any critique is the identity of the "extra petal"/moth on the flower. I have not seen another one like it since I took the photo

Most likely a Painted Schinia Moth (Schinia volupia): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schinia_volupia
