The status just changed to: Shipped!

I was missing it and reverting to my D300 was not making happy...

But when it comes back it will be set to go, 200,000 clicks and still going strong. All you have to do is to be patient. :-D :-D

Which features of the D800e did you mostly miss while using the D300?

Do you miss the self timer function found on $200 p&s cameras that let's you know your camera is set to take an image? Often this is just a slowly flashing light on most Nikon Coolpix cameras.

This was some very useful information. Just what everyone wanted to know. You probably never used your D300 to its capacity, but know you want the world to know you have a D800.

How often I have thought that on posts that really have nothing to do with actual photography, why do we need to know a camera is coming back or even gone in the first place, and is in main photo chat

So true, sometimes this forum gets away from what it is supposed to be about PHOTOGRAPHY.

So being happy to see a camera back is or happy about anything is never to be shared, what a band of sourpusses you are.

That said, main discussion was a wrong choice. Sorry.

There might be those who could have some interest as to why you sent it away for repair in the first place.

It was sent because the camera produced a constant vignetting on the top corners and that regardless of the orientation when shooting.
