Can't find much. It is getting cooler here and I wonder if the bugs have left.

These are great Susan! I think you've really got the hang of it. Colors in #1 are perfect for fall... love it. What ring light do you use?

I'm sure you will come up with tons of winter shots (of something). :)
Do you or have you used a DIY diffuser with a speed light? That's what I am using, but if I could get shots like yours, I would convert to the Canon ring light. These shots are the kind I am wanting to take. (I do know the quality of the shot has a lot to do with me... not just the equipment, but I've thought I'd like the ring light for some time now.)

No, I've only used the ring light - it works for me so why try something new. I have to say, I take pictures every day. I work full time so I go out at lunch and photograph for an hour and then go straight to my favorite piece of woods right after work. I have tons of lousy pics but as I look back to photos I've taken in June compared to late August, I can see the improvement. Practice is what really worked for me. I am getting so many more keepers now. Good luck and you will get there, I know.

Okay... I want one and am going on vacation next week so a new ring flash will be my "souvenir". Is yours the Canon MR-14EX TTL Macro Ring Lite Flash? Did you have to purchase any type of adapter? I have a Canon 7D.

Yes it is. I think you'll be happy with it. I don't think you need an adapter.

Yippeee! I'm so excited. I did read about this one and I do need an adapter, but it will be worth it, I think. I hope you don't mind if I "pick your brain" for a little while when I get mine. Please feel free to tell me, if I become a nuisance.
