Photography is narcissistic - and if 6 Billion shots are uploaded every month on FB alone, then we are totally off the reservation when it comes to the "sport".

Photography as a trade is not dead. I had a client today said she wants to hire me to take pictures of a glossy floor for a magazine article. She said she tried to do it and it didn't come out tight. So she's willing to pay a pro to do it right. Photography is about skills not what kind of equipment you have. People are willing to pay for skills to get what they want.
