I've got 3Turkey Rolls and a Beef Brisket on the smoker. Dreary this morning but sun is forecast for the afternoon. What's on your Labor Day menu?

Hello, Commerce Twp, MI from an old Pontiac boy. We've got the same weather down here in Dallas, but the drizzle is kinda welcome after all the heat. Our Memorial Day, Labor Day tradition is grilled brats, which I'm looking forward to.

Go Blue....gotta beat the Domers next week!!!

Do you do the Wisconson thing and store the grilled ones in a pan of hot beer, or just serve them as they are ready?

After 4hours I took the brisket off, smothered it in sweet onions, wrapped it in foil and returned it to the smoker. At a bit after 3PM everything came off, and the brisket is in the warming oven until our guests arrive. The 3 turkey rolls, each with a different rub will be cooled and sliced as needed later in the year.

Sounds great....we just grill the brats and put 'em directly in a bun. Nothin' fancy. It sounds like you grill with a vengeance. I wish I was there to enjoy it!!!

Cooking? Grilling?

We finally have an IHOP (International House of Pancakes) in our town. It opened on Saturday, and has been packed ever since.
