This giant oarfish (even with it's tail bitten off, it measured 15 ft.!) was found in the East Cape region of Baja California in 2007. Oarfish can grow to 50+ ft. and may live at depths as deep as 3,300+ ft! They are usually only seen at the surface when dead or dying. It's easy to see why ancient mariners often spoke of seeing "sea serpents" while at sea! (Photo Credit: Troy Tinney)

Get a few "Cod and Chips " out of him, bet he tastes more like Huss (Rock Salmon) I am going to eat Fish and chips today at the best chippy outside of Yorkshire at a place in downtown Little Rock! Arkansas!

Sad if it was killed for 'sport'. Any info on the actual story behind this?

I always feel bad when I see stuff like this especially creatures like the Blue Marlins get killed for fun!
