Everyone like flowers and likes t see and smell flowers.
Recently i decided to start a small project which was to produce a body of work on flowers only this time instead of recording their vibrant colours, I wanted to see if I could pull the project off by doing in in Black and White as this is my main interest.
I never realised how difficult it was going to be but I am persevering with the project.

Beautiful in a simplistic way. I really like it.
what an interesting idea...I never thought of flowers in black and white but your photo shows a different aspect of shooting flowers...now you got me thinking...this one is quite striking, by the way...

Just beautiful Ian! One of your bests I think.

exquisite! And so are those featured on your site. impressive and no color needed.
Fantastic shots all. It's your choice of subject and processing, but to me, removing color from flowers is like photographing beautiful women with their heads shaved, using no make-up, and wearing burlap. They're still beautiful, but...
Not being critical of these fine photographs, but just my own opinion, for what little it's worth.

Just checked out the others in your project, and they are by far the most beautiful flowers in black and white I've ever seen.
