Cheyenne my Red Shouldered Hawk stopped by for a visit...
As promised an update on Cheyenne. He has been around quite a lot this past little bit but mostly while he was hunting and since I did not want to interfere with that I only took a couple of shots from a distance. Of course he has only visited in the worst possible lighting. Right before it has started to rain when it was really dark or just before the sunset. So sorry about the high ISO noise on a few of these but I will not use a fill flash on him. Most are a really tight crop.
8-11-13 Watching something in my neighbors yard.
8-19-13 On the hunt in my yard. I think he caught field mouse.
8-20-13 Hanging out in the big oak in front.
8-20-13 Still hanging out in the big oak
7-19-13 He finially sat still enough for a decent portrait.
Gorgeous to see - Thankyou.

Very nice set. He doesn't look like he's wanting for any food! LOL. Great set of shots.
These are very nice, and I really love ♥ the last one. Thank you so much for sharing with us :)

Super shots again of Cheyenne Shane.
Love them, Shane - keep 'em coming. And how lucky are YOU?!
Thank you for the update! He looks great. Is he giving you the middle talon?
Excellent set Erin. The portrait is sensational. You've named this juvenile, I see. Are you taking after me by any chance?

Great shots! So glad that I am not the only one to give the wildlife names!
