RETIRED BUT NOT RETARDED

After spending the past 40 years traveling around this beautiful world I finally chose to settle here in "Red Stick" better known as Baton Rouge. Not enough space to name all the countries I have lived in, excuse a sec ****** had to kick myself again for not taking more pictures. Have boxes of slides from back in the 35mm era but they not good for much now. Plan on getting out in the swamp and see what I can capture' won't be no "shoot em" other than with the cameras Right now don't have much to speak of in the way of equipment but eventually will. So be warned I will have a lot of questions going on.

Welcome to the site. I'm right up the road in The Felicianas (well some of the time anyway) I look forward to more of your photos.

French Coast.... You can always scan your slides and turn them into digital files. I use a Canon 8800F scanner that does several various sizes of film scans, including 35mm. It works very well, so don't throw your slides out.

No Mike, will never throw them away. To many memories, Russia - China - all over Europe got to keep them. Thanks for taking the time to contact me.

When did you take the China pics? I would be very interested in seeing some of them -- especially any from Guangdong, Xi'An, TianJin, or GuanXi. And people.

Good grief, China was back in 62 or there abouts. I was at the Consulate in Beijing and made several tips to outlying areas. Was at Hong Kong & Macau in 64 several times. Have lot of pics of the people in the smaller villages. Always remember they were so friendly gentle and really amazing.

Yes get them scanned - share as most of us will never go there - place back in box sealed and protected from fading.
