I'm new to DSLR photography. Have been a fan of digital photography and editing since its inception with Kodak point and shoot cameras and my computers. I recently bought a D3100 with the 18-55mm kit lens and a 55-300mm zoom. I also just bought a SB700 flash and am facinated by the images this equipment renders. Although all the different adjustments are sometimes mind bogelling, but your posts help a lot. It's a privilege at be associated with such knowlegeable shutterbugs, some of whom have such great senses of humor and tollerance for the newbies.
Welcome to the forum. How do ya like the 300mm lens?
It is amazing. I used it at the Chicago Air and water show in August and it brought the Thunderbirds in so close it was like you could reach out and touch them.
