Beautiful morning for a walk around the swamp. Among all other thing we are known for, we are also the wild orchid, bromeliad and various other epiphyte capital of the North American Continent. I included a shot of a large epiphyte in bloom on a cypress tree. Also I have a shot of a green dragonfly, the first I have ever seen. It is a dark and beautiful spot, with the sun shinning in spots. Please download especially the epiphyte, thanks
Nice walk, nice shots!!!!

Thanks so much HOT Texas, really appreciate your looking and comment. Glad you enjoyed
Well done. I especially like the brown colored dragonfly. Very sharp and nicely photographed.
Great shots! Now where did you leave Clyde Butcher? He has to be around somewhere! He is one of my favorites.
Looks like you had great walk Gregory.Great set.
Outstanding, but you know that. My favorite far and away is the shot of the egret through the trees. Love that. Evokes feelings of mystery, tranquility, and maybe even a little spooky. A great shot.

Thank you very much for looking and for your comment, fthomas, really appreciate it. Clyde is just down the road, not to far from where I was. He is one of my favorites also. I first met Clyde in the early 80's, and have a few of his pieces. He has a studio on the east trail in the Big Cypress, a wonderful gentleman, and photgrapher

Thanks so much Treepusher, I knew you would like that one. It speaks of the swamp, dark and scary, but beautiful at the same time. I always appreciate your looking and kind comment
Thank you very much tk, greatly appreciate your looking and kind comment. We will have to explore more cypress swamps in Feb, orchids and bromeliads should be in bloom then.
molly has been scouting places also, and we will have some great new areas to explore
