I took this at the Hogle Zoo in Salt Lake City. Obviously, it's a pretty poor shot. However, I kind of like the 'artsy' pp shot. What do you think?

And, using my original photo, how about showing what you would do with it.

No cropping, but an Pro Contrast in Color Efx followed by an orton script I got off of the net.

I few more minutes were spent enhancing the blacks.

Way better than my original. Doesn't matter what software you use.

Pretty good, Diana. Maybe a hair dark at top. But the cat stars.

Topaz restyle. One click. Brightens it up, maybe too much. :-)

I like your second photo, it gives the emphasis to the cat.
Here's my rendition.

i think one of the bigger problems is that the cat is wallking away and out of the picture - everything, including exposure would have to be perfect to overcome that ;-)

This is not an easy one to fix. The tops of the rocks are pretty washed out with sunlight. I did about the best I am capable of doing for an old man. Thanks for letting us try. I used a combo of Paintshop Pro X5 ultimate and NIK Efex Pro 3. I might do better spending a little more time. Have a GREAT DAY!

Like I said in the beginning, it's obviously a poor photo. Just wanted to see what others could do with it.
