My name is Jolene "Jo" Kanahele. A close friend gave me a camera for Christmas (2004) and from the first photo I took, I was hooked. I am a self-taught photographer learned by trial and error of course. Can't really afford to pay for professional photography courses. I believe that having a 'good-eye' surpasses that of having the most expensive camera equipment. I now have a small photography business on the side and making some pretty good money to have fun with. I ain't quitting my day job because the camera don't cover insurance...Ha! Ha! I enjoy the posts I read in this forum and I am learning a lot from everyone. Mahalo!

Hello, and may I say aloha! I've been to Hawai'i many times, Kauai, twice, Maui, three times, and Oahu once, and The Big Island, briefly. They are each one very unique to each other. I don't like following the crowds, but Maui IS my favorite, I love it around West Maui, Lahaina, Ka'anapali, and Napili Bay is a blast!!! Also Kapalua. If I could afford it I would be there, maybe someday!!!!! Mahalo for listening..LOL
