I could certainly love to live in that cabin. Beautiful country and the animals look so healthy in their natural habitat. Those wild horses are amazingly incredible. Thanks for the post. Very inspirational. :thumbup:

Sorry about my photos being in error......they were actually the "Badlands" of South Dakota and not ND as the photos on the original link indicate.....
we were there in July and the weather couldn't have been better....very warm to hot.....
you can see the Badlands from I-90 as you drive by and there are folks living in the vicinity.....
don't miss checking the photos on the link as they are beautiful..

thanks silverhawk for promoting my state. I live in eastern ND and the Badlands are out west- I usually get there once a year. As to the question about people living near there---There are only campgrounds in the park [and yes the buffalo do come right up and sleep around the campground] right before you enter the park there is a wonderful town called Medora that has everything you could want including wonderful western charm. The bigger town of Dickenson is 30 miles away.
The weather can be hot in the summer and cold and snowy in the winter--I usually go there in Sept when the summer tourist rush is over and early mornings and late evening can drive through the park and hardly see another vehicle, just lots of wildlife!

Beautiful photographs. I've been there several times and have stayed in the original hunting lodge twice. It is my all time favorite state park. Just one minor, but critical, correction. The park and badlands are in South Dakota....not North Dakota.

Thanks for your response......and, yes, the "Badlands" are in South Dakota and can be viewed as you travel along I-90....I did make that correction above and the photos I posted above are from the Badlands in South Dakota...... :thumbup: :thumbup:
