I took this earlier this spring in the marsh along the James River near Smithfield VA. The only editing I did was adjust levels and midtone contrast.
I am always interested to see what my fellow hogs think of it.

I would normally really like the position of the heron in the frame, but there's so much of the same grasses, I kind of want to crop it a bit :)

Hope you don't mind, I lightened back ground, and left the birdie alone. I think helps bring the birdie out of the grasses.

I think this is a beautiful picture...almost ethereal. It seems to have the simplicity and elegance of old Asian paintings or etchings.
