:-D new thread idea. post photos of things that were common but now are rare.Like in this case a TV antena. For the education of the youngins, before cable when there was only a choice of maybe 10 channels including pbs and independents, in order to get tv recepition you had to have one of these on a roof. It always seemed to breakdown right in the middle of an important football game. other things eligable for this thread include the huge origional home sattelite dishes, full service gas stations, photomat booths etc.
rember when?
I still have one on my house, still works too even with the digital channels now

The second one... Let's spell it together: "B....O....O....K....S"
Extinct but making a come-back. NOWWWW they tell me!
Not extinct yet, but on the endangered species list!

Hi Beautiful, where is the flea market, in Salisbury or closer to home. I'm going to visit on Sunday AM to try out my new camera.

Yep!
It's in Salisbury, the heart of it... the Courthouse Parking Lot... however, it is hit-or-miss what you'll find there in November/December. The weather will be in the 50's, so maybe you'll be fortunate....
YAY! You got the camera!! XOXOX

I vaugely recall it, not sure what its function is. All kidding aside, if you dont have a cell phone it is getting harder and harder to find a payphone.
How about my Crown Graphic...

that is such a beautifal looking camera. The one thing I hate about today is their seems to be little design just for style anymore. 57 chevy belair versues any jelly bean car of today. Nikon metal manual focus lenses, vs the plastic stuff of today. even handguns a walther ppk is a thing of beauty, a glock is functional and plain at best. a dc-3 is still 70 years later a gourgeous airplane.
What a great idea,,who would ever have thought

When I served in the USN, I used one. One of the Chief Petty Officers had one that he replaced all of the black leather with white leather and used it for weddings. It was very impressive!
