Hello there yall! My name is Regan, and I am from Richmond, Va, commonly called RVA, or River City. I was born and raised there, and now I live with my Fiance, Maynard, my two children Jack and Caroline. I am getting married when the time and money are right, and we also plan to move out of our 'hood in the next 5-10 years, as I want more house and land, well, need it (I live WAY to close to my soon to be monster in law...feel me?)
As for photography goes, I have yet to buy a SLR camera! So please bear with me. I want one so bad I can taste it, but Christmas for my kids comes first. I am 27, and I used to be an Ophthalmic Assistant (eye doc nurse), even though I do not know how to use an SLR yet,(keyword: yet.), I can use a digital retinal Camera, and take a photo of your retina, macula, and everything else inside your eye. I hope this helps me in my journey to pro as I know how the eye works, and I also majored in Art/Design in College.
I have Rheumatoid Arthritis, which has forced me to leave my job, so I now stay at home, and I am going fairly nuts, as alot of homemakers do. It's not for me. But I am tired alot, I get swollen joints, pain and stiffness and a general flu-like feeling which would keep me from a 40 hour a week job. This is why I am looking into photography. I know it's expensive, time consuming, and a fair amount of travel involved, but if I am my own boss, I am up for that challenge.
Any tips, before starting or buying a camera are needed and wanted! I have an awesome brother in law that will help me with a business plan when it's time. I know I have a lot of work to do before I go pro, but that's my dream, and I'm right set on it, so you may warn me of all the hazards involved, but I am up for the adventure ahead. And that's all I've got to say about that.
