Love #1, but it needs more contrast to set the mood.!!!!!!!
I like them and I will tell you why.
The first one looks like a old photo. Good pick.
The second has the sunlite part way up the building and adds a lot of interest. I like the buildings on each side of it.
The third is just very interesting, and good colors.
That is my opinion for what it is worth.

Nice set, good composition.
I'll be the negative voice. Number one: there must be a story with the gate and bricked up window/door but I just don't get it. Maybe seeing more or less of the scene would let the viewer see what's going on here. Number two: I don't care for the composition, too balanced, church in the middle, each side the same. I'd move the church to the point where the left third and lower third intersect, the sky on that side looks interesting, include the flag pole unless it becomes the center. Number three: I'm close to liking that a lot, especially for the colors on the wall but the bright light seems to have the wrong portion of the composition. Perhaps more of it or none at all.
Thanks Trainnut for taking the time

Thanks, photopop44 for allowing me to see the "other side"

Photo number 1 is that from Saint Louis Cemetery? Photo number 2 is classic way to photograph Saint Louis Cathedral from the level of the Mississippi River. Photo 3 shows the color of the French Quarter.
[quote=MWojton]I like your B & W photo #1 best. New Orleans is a great photo site. Thanks for posting. I am trying to learn how to adjust black and white. I can't say what I would do, except experiment with copies. David
#1 does not have a lot of life in -- Sorry!
Yes more contrast- B&W is the best showing texture and mood.
#2 Static snap shot - composition
#3 Excellent scuttle colors. - Straighten lines especially on left.
