Security Cameras

Here and elsewhere I have heard and read that security cameras were essentially responsible for identifying the Boston bombers. From what I heard this is not entirely correct. Supposedly one of the men who was critically injured provided authorities with a detailed description of one (maybe both) of the suspects whom he thought might be responsible for the bombing. He did this on the way to the hospital. Therefore, the authorities were quickly made aware of possible suspects to look for in the videos. Seems logical to me inasmuch as I was surprised at how quickly they were able to identify the suspects. I bring this up because I hope people aren't thinking that security cameras are all that is needed. As with most, if not all, good police work, its the human element that makes the difference. Would like to hear from anyone who can confirm or dispute any of this.

totally feasible I agree. I do not doubt that many people spend countless hours pouring over video footage, stills, security footage to bring it all together. Eye witness tips could have understandably got the ball rolling..
I suppose we could read Rolling Stone article and get the murdering scumbags point of view.

Off the cuff:
There was no fast and efficient anything in the Boston bombing
"event" as they call it!
Took over a week to resolve itself without any detective work involved!
30 agencies holding that city under siege !
You may remember reports of one poor guy made to get out of his car and strip naked in public to satisfy the shit scared cops!
It's also a wonder that punk captured wasn't riddled with holes after the hail of bullets they unleashed on him ......wonder who paid for that boat replacement after they were finished!
The British seem to have the camera/ID/investigation down pat....maybe we should learn how it's done! :)

For sure. It's sill sitting there like a piece of swiss cheese unless it was sold on eBay to the Taliban as a monument to Allah.
