The Mighty American Falls
Nice shot but I think those are the so-called Horseshoe falls on the Canadian side.
Oh, I really, really like this!!
Although they look like the horshoe falls they are not. this pic was taken from the American side. They are receding at a rate of appx. 3+" per 10 years thus the look of the curve. The Horshoe falls on the Canadian side have a much more severe curve to them and encompass over 2500 ft. in brink length. I have pics of them also. but enjoy the shots of the American side more as they are clearer to the eye and lense due to the absence of the tremendous mist created by the Canadian horshoe falls.
No his picture is the american falls. Below is the horse shoe falls from the canadian side
So 2/3 of the water goes through the powerhouse to generate electricity, right? The Niagara River flows through Canada carrying all the water to Lake Ontario. At (they say) 45 mph. That's quite impressive too. You look at the river and think "Now that's something." I suppose I could look it up, about 2/3 of the water. That's what the docent told us gullible tourists.
I didn't have an offical guide. More like a girlfriend guide. I do not know how much water goes through the power plants,,but. I know it is enough to run the candian. And also the american power plants. I have returned there several times to the canadian side,,,,,,it is a photographers dream come true
I misread the post as "Mighty Viagra." Oops.
