I love Colorado, but Wyoming is pretty awesome too.

Thanks to Apjar307 for recommending these locations!

Is #1 HDR or tone mapped? I'd enjoy seeing a more natural look there, I think. However, I love #2! Stunning!

I love both of these shots, but I agree that the PP is a little too strong. May I suggest that you put these in a layer over the originals, then reduce the opacity a little. Congratulations on capturing these images

I hate it when the previous posters steal all the good adjectives. Number 2 truly is stunning. The colors are just crazy good.

If it were mine, I would maybe crop out more of the bottom to bring the horizon down from center to maybe 1/4 to 1/3 way up. You would still have enough dirt to tie to the sky color, but you would make the sky the star of the show.

Thanks for the kind comments!

I'm not sure, it seems to have lost some of the punch, however it does adhere to the rule of thirds.

Gosh, I can't disagree with you. Your original is almost like you are looking through a brown-framed window into the deep blue-green scene. Maybe it is emphasizing the "depth" of the landscape. So lucky to have a photo that can go more than one way.

Number two is just stunning and I wouldn't change it at all.

No, this is it. The crop really brings it home. I love both photos. #1 is stunning as well.
