It seems I find more and more bugs lately.
When one shoots macro on a consistent basis the eyes and brain become very good at spotting insects. I know my eyes are much more attuned and sharp then before I started shooting macro.
Speaking of eyes very nice patterns in photo 1 and 3. Focus needs to be spot on to get defined whirls like that. Well done.

Thanks. I think you are right about getting better at spotting. I can find jumpers a lot easier now than when I first started. And I am trying very hard to focus on the eyes.

I like the last one, too. In fact, I took a few pics of what seems to be the EXACT same species here in Georgia a few days ago. But I have no idea what it is.
I THINK it's a little wasp of some kind. Beyond that, I'm lost.

The eyes sure give that impression. There's just something........ waspy looking about it....... I'd love to know what it is.
A face on pic would be great. But I didn't have a chance to get one from that angle either.
