A local town had a balloon event over this past weekend. Here are a few glimpses of the liftoff.

Hi MJL :-)Every year we have a large Balloon Festival in Northampton (UK) The night before the morning of lift off they have the "GLOW" this is where all the pilots have their burners on very low, creating an ethereal effect this leads up to a Rock Festival and finally a firework display.
The event offers photo opportunities of all kinds. Nice set :-)

It is a fascinating event to be at the site in the dark of night - before dawn when they are first starting to fill these colorful subjects. Many years ago I had that opportunity.

Hi Steve, Thank you so much for your more than kind reply. However, IMHO there is no way I would even be considered close to being a Master. Your tut tuts are kind of fun though. Admittedly, the rules were "bent" a bit for this posting, but they are still a whole lot closer than this shot. Mike

Hi Robbie, Thanks for stopping in and leaving a reply. I was hoping to see the "GLOW" scheduled for the night before, but it was cancelled due to rain. Hopefully next year will be better. Mike
