Hello - I too am new to this site. My name is Richard and I have bee dabbling in photography for - geez a long time. Nope never reall got very good - mostly just know enough to know I wish I knew more. This seems to be a friendly site so please feel free to ask any questions. I like the pictures you added - nice and bright. Have added some to give you an idea of what I like. Enjoy the day.

Those are nice pictures. I am also new to the site. It has some interesting post so far, hopefully you guys will enjoy it as well. Nice to see some newbies as well.

Hi Rebecca,
a few things i can say about your shots, on the first one you might try useing the rule of thirds placing someone in the middle of a pic makes it sorta flat...also a picture is like a story in the first shot whats the story.
on to the second shot ...Now thats a great shot nice imagintive use of angles and lines, maybe if your model had been looking down or off to the side might have helped more, but I really like that picture, the third shot is what i like to call a family pic ...mostly the ones in the family are going to enjoy it.

lastly a few helpful hints try taking your shots closer to the morning or the end of the day thats when the light really adds depth to your photos, also if you can turn off the date mark, maybe download a program called gimp its free and allows you to edit your photos....I hope I have helped you there are no set rules to photography and I by all means dont know everything.
