Hello from WV, a guestion about Nikon.
Hi, my name is Dan and my guestion is about Nikons way of not taking care of their customers using the Coolpix 22 & 24 models. I realize it's just a cheap little point and shoot but where does most people start using a camera. Just because it's a starter camera it should'nt be any less important than say a D90. My first camera was a Nikon FG and I loved that thing, now many years later I'm wanting to start into the digital realm, Nikon? Panasonic? Whats their problem?
News to me! I wasn't aware there was a problem. I have had exceptional service from Nikon. I recently had to send in a Nikon camera for repairs. Nikon got it back to me in a very short time and there was no charge (all I paid was shipping). I know that is not the norm and I expected to pay a hefty fee for having the shutter release mechanism repaired. Can't say enough about the service I've had.
Paid $84 for a Cool Pics last year to give the wife so I don't agree that it is cheap. Just "Inexpensive" when compared to a DSLR.
Sent a Nikkor lens to them a couple years ago and had no complaints. A little slow but not too bad.

own the nilon L-22 i call her the pocket rocket. fantastic camera, lens quality is superb (of course, its a nikor lens) please give us detail about what you mean. Have you checked out Nikonians.com ? its the largest nikon user group out there.
Hi again, it concerns the L20-24 coolpix battery door, which after checking out Nikonians.com these are not the only models having the same problem. The only thing I noted was how some had no problem with warrenty fixes. Thanks for the concerns because I really wanted a Nikon.
