Love the pictures. Hate the story. It makes me sick to my stomach to constantly hear of other cultures killing such beautiful animals. You would think that in this day and age we would understand the need to preserve all life on this planet. As my husband constantly quotes, "humans are the biggest parasites on the planet".

Thanks for the link. These are truly magnificent animals. I watched a National Geographic show on TV last night featuring snow leopards in the Himalayas.

Cindij I agree with your spouse. We have more than our share of parasites. Mostly due to ignorance and greed.

Yes, parasite does describe us quite well, eh? However, Mother Earth will adjust herself and the parasites will be shaken off until they are no longer a threat and She can recuperate. Then the cycle will start all over again, as it has done many times, no doubt.

Beautiful animals.

There has been reported sightings of what they call "True Black Leopards" over in the Atchafalaya, about 5 miles from where I am. That would make an unbelievable picture. Trying to find more information on them now.

Fantastic post. I was bummed when I read that last blurb that the photos shown are NOT of the cats in Afghanistan. That they were copyrighted so could not be shown. Oh well. Beautiful cats either way. Hope the Chinese don't use their private parts and bones just for their sexual pleasure. Need to change their though process on that or send them tons of Viagra. Cheers.
