No, I didn't like the traffic signal there either. However, I don't have Gregory Crewdson's budget for doing street scenes.

I did, however, like the shadow of the roof line following the stair railing.

I agree it's a very pleasing shot but you don't need any budget to get rid of the street light if you don't like it.

It's an excellent image. You should remove the street light, it takes away from the image.

As I pointed out originally, I didn't like it there either. Unfortunately, I couldn't move up any closer and still maintain the entire building in the scene. Moving closer would also have cut the street sign leaving only part of the name. So, that was pretty much where I had to stand to get the scene I wanted.

I find photoshopping the signal out, along with its shadow on the awning, more abhorrent than it's appearance in the first place. As I pointed out, I don't have budget some do to completely revamp an entire street to suit the final vision of the image. Nor do I like the concept of "oh take the shot. You can always fix it in photoshop".
