Nice B&W phot. I really like it. BTW falling snow and ice is a big problem in Munich at the Frauenkirche. They have to rope off the sides of the building in the winter because the roof is so high that people don't think about snow falling. Interesting.

Living in Tempe, AZ, I hadn't given much thought to snow and ice falling from building eaves. It makes sense though in those areas which get a good deal of snow.

Must have been an old ice house? With the small hinged door being where the blocks of ice would be delivered.

The building was associated with a grain silo. I'll have to find that one and post it. There is a mill just across the street from this building.

Thanks for posting the entire building Bob. Now I can understand them wanting to warn people at street level of ice or snow falling from the corrugated rooftop.

Of course, the irony is, people are standing there reading the sign as the ice and snow are falling on them. ;-)

I had thought of that while I was standing there taking the photograph. Although rather cold, there wasn't a great deal of snow, so few worries.
