I have been taking pictures for many years. I started with my fathers 35mm camera when I was a kid, now I am 48 and feel stuck. I would like to take it to the next level. Your input would be greatly appreciated. I am currently shooting with a Canon 7D with the following Canon lenses: 70-300 mm L, 85mm 1.8, 15-85mm USM. Thanks in advance for any help. If you think specific shot data would be useful I can add that.

Welcome! When you say you feel stuck, can you describe how? Not improving? Not inspired? Not sure where you want to go with your photography? The photographic equivalent of writer's block? There are plenty of people here who can give you lots of suggestions depending where you feel stuck.

I think it is mostly composition that I need to work on.

There are the classic conventions: rule of thirds (the tic-tac-toe grid with the subject placed at one of the intersections), leading lines (drawing the eye into the picture), S curves (drawing the eye into/around the picture). I have found one thing that helps me is to study the master painters and photographers, trying to figure out what draws me into a photo or painting. Jay Maisel, John Shaw, Art Wolfe, Joel Sartore are a few of my favorites, all with websites.

Another sugestion is to visit the library or bookstore and browse the art and photography sections-- I find them addictive and helpful (and sometimes expensive!).
