The composition was to help evaluate image quality over a wide depth of field. IQ is the only thing I'm trying to critique here. There was no post on these. Is this good IQ or not?

I like the IQ on picture number one. Which one looks more like what your eyes see? Are you testing two different lens manufacturers?

I own both lenses. Just wonder if I have half way decent ones. They are not top of line. Second photo was slightly overexposed due to loose nut operating the camera.
I like the first one best but if #2 wasn't over exposed it would be fine also.

both give good IQ across their respective focal ranges..prefer the longer stretched 13mm feel but lacks the IQ of the further reaching 18mm image shortening, I know its recommended you don't shoot wide open but not sure the other end ??? for F stop like F22 if then lens is capable.
Both lenses being equal the test should be central fstop for that lens to be a fair test of equal image quality
