Hawk or Eagle?

Let me preface these photos by saying that the quality is not good and I normally wouldn't dream of posting them. However, we have a new resident on our 9 acres that I'm pretty sure is a hawk, but he kind of looks like a golden eagle as well. I would love some other opinions. We've seen him for about a week and believe that he also has a mate. Our massive bird/squirrel population have been hiding and unusually quiet; until this morning. There seemed to be a unified effort by cardinals and bluejays to attack this guy. I mean literally try to knock him off his perch. He must have recently raided some nests! I have a new goal to try to get some good photos of him.

Thank you! That's what it looks like to me. The photos really don't show his immense size; that is why I was wondering about it being a golden eagle.

Great capture of the blue jay attack. Redtails can be quite large; I've thought were eagles on occasion.
