Canon SX50, was using the 1.5x in-camera teleconverter (handheld), but was close enough that these are just under equiv. 1200 mm.

I also finally started using the "framing assist" button. See my earlier post in main forum for info, if you haven't tried it:

ISO 500, 1/800 sec, f/8.0 (the smallest aperture in this camera). No pp other than slight darkening + slight crop on the bird.

All are very nice, I really like the last one, nice composition and color.

Great shots. Love the butterfly and bee sharing. My favorite is 3, however I would love to see it cropped for better balance. The intense blue sky keeps pulling my eye up. Love the details. :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup:

Lagace4: a runaway mouse sounds scary! As for your crop, I understand your POV; however, I often prefer a bit of breathing room and negative space around my subjects. Best wishes.

Sorry, but IMHO the original was cropped much better, as a way that gave much more sense of time and place, which to me is important in all photography.
