My son got a Nikon D3200 for his birthday. It came with Nikon View NX2 software, which is incompatible with Windows 8.
I told him about us "Hogs" and he will be joining in tomorrow after work and Little League games. (Remember those days).
Anyone else experience this?
I have a D5000 & a D7000, but never used the Nikon Transfer or View. I used Picasa, and six months ago bought PS6, which I am still trying to learn. Going from PC with Vista to a Macbook Pro with Retina Display, so I can take the laptop to PS6 classes.
Greatly appreciate any and all help.

Hi: I got a D3200 for Christmas and had the same problem with the software included in the package. I came to UH and asked for help. It was recommended to me by a very helpful member, to go to Nikon directly and get their latest download version. Nikon finally got the update for W8 done and I was able to download successfully. Hope this helps you. Paying it forward! MLD

Did you have him go to the Nikon web site to see if they had a compatible version of the Nikon View NX2 software?

Bear, I bought Nikon NX2 and I run it with Windows 7. The program is buggier than Maine in June. I went to the Nikon USA website and downloaded the latest revision and all is well now. It still has a few hiccups but nothing I can work around. I found that I really like the software because it is dedicated to photos only.

Thanks all. He has not had a chance yet, his son is starting pitcher for the All Star traveling team, today.
