I have a maybe dumb question about convertible umbrella's. The ones that are white shoot through but have an option backing cover to use as a bounce umbrella. Can I leave the cover on while storing it?
I'm looking for something with minimal setup time as a bounce umbrella but would like it to be versatile. I assumed I could store and open it with or without the cover on but one review gave me doubts.
Specifically I am looking at the Impact brand from B&H or a white PLM with cover from Paul Buff but I'm curious about any brand.

I store mine with the cover on, even though I use it as a shoot through most of the time. Doesn't bother it at all.
Using it as a shoot-through lets me get it closer to the subject, softening the light as much as possible.
