Hanging Lake Outside Glenwood Springs, Colorado

Hi!
Thought I would share a few shots of Hanging Lake.
The trail to the lake is hidden within the steep walls of Glenwood Canyon on Interstate 70 about 7 miles east of Glenwood Springs, Colorado. Its a popular hike. Its a vertical climb of 1020 ft in about 1.2 miles. It took us an hour or so just to reach the lake.
I should have taken a tripod. I realized that once I got to the falls before the lake.
These shots were taken with a Canon 60D, Sigma 18-250mm at 1/20 of sec using the Optical Stabilizer.

Your wonderful photos convey what a spectacular place this is. I've been through Glenwood Springs but had no idea this existed. Thanks for sharing.

Hi!
When you go take plenty of water. It seems the bulk of the crowd went up from 8:00 am to around 3:00 pm. We started up the trail around 4:00 and came off the mountain around 7:00 and saw a much smaller crowd of people. It was cooler too.
